Find me on YouTube

Welcome Friends! I am so glad you have discovered my small corner of the creative world. I have always loved fashion, clothes, shopping, and being creative…and those passions have lead me down many fulfilling paths in life, sharing what I love with others!

In college I started a fashion blog called Minnie Muse (its name eventually changed) and that is when I first embarked on the journey of sharing my love of fashion, clothes, sewing, and thrifting with the online world. Having a fashion blog in the days when blogspot was all the rage (on the precipice of online creators and influencers) was truly a unique time. As the world changed and blog posts migrated onto instagram, being shared as online content, my own blogging content started to evolve as I shared more on Instagram and started to create an online presence focused on fashion, personal style, thrifting, and sewing.

After graduating college I became a high school Family and Consumer Science teacher (Home Ec.) and that is when my passion for sharing my love of sewing with others and helping to inspire their creativity really took off! 4 of my 5 years teaching high school was the fashion design teacher, teaching Fashion Design 1, Fashion Design 2, and Fashion Design 3. During this time I also started making YouTube videos sharing my sewing projects, filming sewing tutorials so others could learn to sew, and sharing snippets of my creative life and love of sewing.

Since then, I have gotten married, moved from Texas, left the classroom, and now live in a picturesque valley in the countryside of Wisconsin. While my days are often spent tending to animals, living life more slowly and running a house, I still LOVE TO SEW & love to share my sewing projects, outfits, and thrift finds both on my YouTube (MaddieLynn) and Instagram (@madisonlynn_s).

And that is how this corner of the internet came to be…a place to share more of my sewing thoughts, educational resources for sewists, thrifting tips, and eventually my own sewing patterns (that I am hoping to launch in 2026). If these sound like things you love, than I invite you to grab a cozy beverage and settle in for a creative time!
